Please tell me if this is true or not...

If I but a park ticket at the disney store or a outlet or where ever the pass is paper and if I lose it I am screwed.... BUT if I order it from 1-407-wdisney it gets put on my key to the world card (room key, charge card, park ticket) and if I lose it they can track it and replace it.

TRUE OR NOT TRUE????????????

If you buy a paper ticket, your receipt will have tracking information on it. If you lose your ticket or it becomes inactivated, you can take your receipt to a Guest Services location and they can print you a new one.

I'm not sure how you get your ticket on to your keys to the world card, but those can also be tracked.

Each ticket, even if you buy it from an outside vendor has a tracking number on it. We always write those numbers down and keep it in the hotel safe. No matter where you buy the ticket, if you have those numbers you will be good to go.

Also, be sure to sign the back of the ticket and write your kids names on theirs so if you leave it behind at a fast pass machine or somewhere else you can retrieve it from a CM.

so if you buy them from the disney store there just paper? not a charactor card ? if we buy them from disney will they be a charactor card ?

ummm.. ok so are they the plastic cards or It is a papery/thin cardboard ?

i will find out for sure next week. woohoo!!!

Any WDW ticket purchased anywhere can be replaced if you photo copy the back. Any ticket can be added to your WDW resort room key if you like when you arrive so you have your room key, park tickets and charging privlidges on one card. AP's and room keys are easier to replace but I have had other types replaced with a copy of the back as well.

The tickets from the Disney Stores are a very thick plastic, the tickets from WDW are thin "tyvek" material and the room keys are a thin plastic. Personally I prefer the paper (tyvek) as, in my experience, they are just a durable but have less issues in the turnstyles and FP machines. I have never had issues with the paper (tyvek) passes or the room keys but our expeirence with the Disney Store plastic was that they jammed in the turnstyles but especially in the FP machines. We ended up having them replaced with the paper passes by guest services on the 2nd day of the trip.

Whereever you purchase your tickets if you are staying at a Disney resort, they will put them onto your room card. When we went to WDW in 2006 I purchased tickets at our local Disney store (they were plastic -like a credit card - with characters on them). When we checked into ASMovies resort the desk clerk asked us about park tickets and I told him that we had purchased them seperately. He offered to "add" them to our room key which was great so all we had to carry around was one card - it worked as our room key, our park pass and charge card!

When we went in 2007 I purchased everything as a package and the tickets worked the same way right on our room card. Hope this helps!

My husband lost his Key to the world card (tickets, room key, and it was attached to our credit card) at Disney Quest. I had All * Movies Resort number in my cell and called as soon as we noticed and canceled it. We did have to go by the resort before heading to the parks for a replacement. So extra tip there program resort number in cell! :thumbsup2
