I have some questions regarding buying tickets seperately. We have always done a package where our tickets and room key were all on one card.

This time I think we are going to book the room seperately and buy tickets from TicketMania. So if I understand right, we will have two cards...one is our room key and one is our ticket.

So, will my daughter get her own room key so she can stay for Extra Magic Hours too? Do we show our key and not our tickets to get the wristbands?

We purchased from Ticketmania for our Oct trip. The tickets you receive from them will be a special paper (I forget the techinical name), not plastic. You might want to get a ticket holder from guest services -- a credit card sized pouch to carry your ticket in. Otherwise they tend to get bent, wet, etc.

Get a key for everyone (you can limit which keys have charge privileges). You'll be good to go for EMH with the key (assuming you are already in the park at that point).

Thanks for the info about tickets.

:rotfl2: That tag was courtesy of my daughter. We go to Six Flags every year and once when she was only about 4 she looked around and said, "It's really crowded here mom. Think you can find a man here?" :rotfl2:

(It's just so simple for kids! Unfortunately for her, I'm still looking  )

You are correct. Because you are buying the park tickets separately you will have two cards. But after you check in you can ask them to add the tickets to the room keys. Then each person in your party will only have one card to deal with.

If your tickets don't expire, you may not be able to to that. But if you can, that is the way to go. :thumbsup2

Also, I've always been curious about how they do that. Do the check-in people have a ticket-reader to know that the tickets haven't been used? Lobby concierge or guest services would, but I've never seen it done. Anyone?

If we want to add the Ticket (already purchased from Ticket mania) to the room key, where do we have this taken care of? At the resort? at the park?

Mike

We had our tickets added to our room keys after we checked in. I don't know if it can be done at the same time that you check in but you may want to ask.

After we checked into the resort, we went to their guest services line. After taking our room keys and tickets, they scanned in the tickets and then issued new room keys that had the ticket information on them. It was quick and easy.
