Tickets have arrived!!!!! should i be worried?

Whoo hoo!!!! my tickets have arrived - SO EXCITED, however, my ticket (from Virgin) is ripped across the number at the bottom centre next to the bar code, you can still read the number. some idiot put the tickets into the folder then closed the seal over it so the ticket was glued to it and hence it ripped when i opened it....should i be worried about that?

I don't think it is anything to worry about, i'd just stick it together with sellotape. However to put your mind at rest you could ring Virgin and check .

Just to let you know I had exactly the same thing happen to me - I gave them a call and they sent me new tickets within 2 days. They did that just to make sure their was no problems at the airport

Sounds like it must be a fairly common problem then.

Thanks guys - i did phone and they told me to sellotape it - so i put my blue peter head on and taped it together, to be honest the tear was less than half inch and now taped you can't tell. I can't believe with today's technology that you still receive those flimsy tickets that look like they have been printed out on a manual typewriter!!!

hhhhmmmm! it's amazing and quite worrying when you re-phone up and get a different answer..... the sellotape bit was worrying me so i phoned again and this time was told you should never de-face a ticket and new ones are being sent out today and i have to hand back the old tickets to the desk on arrival - why dont they just stop gluing them into the folder.....

Hi

I hate that conflicting replies. Its so annoying. I would hate to imagine what could of happened if you went to airport with taped tickets. Good job you checked. My TA did that when she handed them to me and as soon as she gave them to me I opened them up and moved the tickets. Its a pain when that happens.
