Tickets for Food and Wine Festival

Does anyone know when tickets to the special events to the food and wine festival go on sale? I'm looking at doing the new 3D dessert party. I'm looking at going on Thursday Oct. 21. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

In 2009 it was like July 22nd. Also, I saw this posted earlier today:

3D Disney’s Dessert Discovery

This special dessert party will offer guests the chance to see Illuminations from a private location.
When: Every Friday during the Festival (note: Disney previously stated that this was every Thursday during the Festival, but the latest word is that it will take place on Fridays.)

You won't get hard tickets, just confirmation numbers like dining reservations. Typically the special events can be booked later in the summer. Last year it was in August.

Check back over the next couple months. There should be a sticky thread at the top of the page when more info gets released.

My mistake, Lori is correct. Booking info was posted 7-22 last year, but actual date to call for reservations was 8-11.

Has Disney specifically announced that it will take place on Fridays or is this from the Disney blog everyone is quoting? Did the blog actually state that it will be changed from Thursdays to Fridays? The quotes I have seen did not specifially mention a change so I can't be sure which report has the wrong date.

There is conflicting information, both from Disney sources, as to whether it's Thursdays or Fridays. Unless the blog said specifically that the dates were changed we can't be sure until the official schedule comes out as to which it is. We can't be sure that either of these is correct until then.

I just rang Disney Dining to get some more info on this and was told that they are not taking bookings as of yet and she couldn't see anything on the system about the 3D party.

It does sound really cool though, will keep you guys posted if I find out any more info

It won't help you to call Disney Dining. They can do nothing but book reservations, and they won't be able to do that until the reservations for the events are available for booking (probably in August if last year is any indication)
