Tickets cheaper online or at gate?

I apologize in advance for what I know is a repetitive question. We're usually AP holders but let our pass expire. Now thinking of buying a couple of hoppers but hubby wants to pay cash instead of using credit. Just wondering about price differences online vs at the gate. I used to buy from LMT and just checked their site. It was impossible to navigate on my phone, so I ended up here. If we go, it'll only be a couple of days and likely this weekend. Help, tips, etc are appreciated.
Thank you!

For two day hoppers, there probably isn't a difference between buying ahead online or at the booths. But, there is a big difference in convenience. If you can put the cash on a Disney gift card, you can pre-purchase your tickets on the DLR website (or on the app, I think -- not absolutely sure you can use a gift card on the app). Then you'll be able to go directly to the gates and skip the lines at the booths. LMT is usually the lowest price, but I'm not sure how you would use cash to pay for tickets from them.

Thank you! That makes a lot of sense - especially about the convenience of it all..

I think LMT tickets are about $10 less per day -- so you save $50 off 5 day hoppers. I would assume you'll save about $20 for two day hoppers, if LMT sells them.

The general rule of ~$10 per day on LMT tickets is correct. They sell the two day hopper for $237 vs $260 from Disney.

Good idea! I didn't even think of that! We do have a Disney Store. I'll call and ask if they sell 2 day hoppers. Thank you!

Even if they don't sell the 2 day hoppers, they should sell Disney Gift Cards. You can use a gift card to buy tickets on the DLR website, load those tickets on your app (keep an email or a hard copy, just in case), then go right to the gates. I believe with this option, you'll be able to purchase MaxPass ahead with the tickets.

I'm having chemo brain at the moment. If I buy through LMT, do I have to print out the voucher or can I just show it in my phone at the turnstile?

Just to clarify, you will receive the tickets by email from LMT. You can scan those tickets into your DLR app, name them, take them right to the gates! (Don't forget to take a screen shot, save the email on your phone, or save a hard copy of the tickets, just for safety.) With this option, you'll purchase MaxPass (if you want to do so) right after you activate the tickets at the gates. (Have your credit card info loaded onto your app already -- makes this quick and easy. To purchase MP with cash, I think you have to go to City Hall -- ask a CM to be sure.)

Thank you for all your helpful info! I appreciate it very much! ❤️

Have a magical time in the parks! Report back to let us know how things went and where/how you bought your tickets. Buying with cash isn't something that gets discussed often here, but I think it's important information for those who don't want to/can't use a credit card.
