Tickets changing?

When are the Disneyland tickets going to have finger scans on them? Also, any chance they might start selling tickets that don't expire in 13 days? I wish they had park hoppers with the option of no expirary.

Any thoughts?

Jenn

The answer is most likely never to both questions. Disneyland management takes the philosophy that no one pays attention (the same reason they don't have No Bag Lines at the security check points).

As for nonexpiring options, they really don't have the same setup on the tickets as Disney World, so it wouldn't be as beneficial.

I wouldn't say NEVER about the fingerprint scan. I would love it if they got them...and since I'm hoping Disneyland will be around for several more years, I wouldn't say that they will NEVER get them.

"No Bag Lines" at security? I've never seen those, and I go a lot, and often don't have a bag. Have I been missing out?

They experimented with it, and it wasn't successful. People thought their fanny packs didn't count as a bag, or a purse, or whatever they were carrying...

Ah thanks. I misread and thought the post said they DID have them and I thought I was missing out on a perk of traveling light :)

They do have them in WDW. I think DL will get to the fingerscans eventually. But I doubt they'll have NE tickets.

The finger scanners are such a pain!! I hope they never get them. Dealt with them at Universal Orlando and hated it. It took five times as long to get through the line because the machine doesn't always read them right and who the heck remembers what finger they scanned when they first got the ticket!? I sure as heck didn't remember

They did Run some experiments with finger scans and they were not successful at Dusneyland. I personally think it was because there were no cast members there to assist them and they set those turnstiles up to only work with APs.

I think they would be nice, if it meant that every turnstile would be open most Of the time. As for remembering which finger, they tell you to use your right index finger. If you don't have one, then I believe they suggest left index finger and go on from there.

I would also like to see finger scans required when you go to uPgrade your ticket.
