I'm obviously extremely excited! I nearly kissed the postman :rotfl2:

How much would people take if they were going for two weeks for two people? We're in a Disney hotel (Port Orleans), are using Magical Express and the Disney Transportation and we will more than likely only be using Counter Service for our stay.

I was thinking about £1100?

It's so exciting when the tickets arrive

Spending money really depends on if you plan to go shopping or want to buy gifts etc (I take it you have your park tickets?)

I must admit I spend a fortune whilst I'm away but it's only because I stock up on clothes

I usually budget $50 per day per person. However we don't eat all CS.

It's a personal thing though.

It's definitely a personal thing. I stayed at SSR for 15 nights last year and I took around £1000, which was purely for shopping and 'extras'.

how long is a piece of string!

we have done it really budget before and have only spent around £500 but thats not doing any shopping really and we ate mostly on sdisney

we normally take around £1000 but we try and get the dining plan so that saves money on food

this year we have twins with us so i'm sure we will spend way more than we take!

I think you should take a look at the counter service menus and write down a few typical meals that your likely to go for then you'll have an idea what your food spend is going to be. You'll also get a handle on whether the DDP is a good idea for you. We always get it as we reckon it saves us at least 30% on our food budget. We stayed at POR first trip they have a fab CS.

Your total spending budget depends on how much shopping you're likely to do. We spend way more than that but take our DS and eat at a few of the signatures. I'm also a bit of DTD shopping freak. So I guess if you're thrifty it'll be enough... but hey who wants to be thrifty on holiday.

Well yeah I think it is personal really!
I want obviously to be able to pay for food and still have the luxury of gifts and extras and stuff but I think if I maybe took like £1300 then we should have more than enough!
Obviously extras are lovely but I think the main thing is spending the holiday with the boyfriend (hes in the RAF so I barely see him) .. any extra money we can spend is a bonus

We normally only take about $200 then we put everything on the credit card and just withdraw cash when we need it. We load our Nationwide account with cash before we go for the withdrawals and use the NBS Credit card for all meals, shopping etc.

i normal worked are holiday for about $100 per person per day.
i no it looks a lot but its are first visit in over 5 years and we wont be getting back for another 5 years so, if you like it and want it buy it as you may never get a second chance.

I'm going with my friend, so I only have to budget for myself. We've got a few ADR's booked but will be eating CS on some days too, I've budgeted for about $25 a day for food, the rest I'll just pay for on my card (I don't get charged for overseas transactions, just the $3 or whatever it is if you use ATM's). I'll spend a few hundred pounds on merchandise I suspect.

we did 2 weeks at ssr with the ddp... for 14 tips for TS meals (for 5 adults), merchandising and bits and pieces PLUS 2 meals at victoria and alberts and kids club for 3 kids (the last 2 worked out at baout 600$) we still only spent $1200 on site.
we spent more obviously when in the villa shopping at walmart and hit the malls (didnt buy much tbf)
we didnt go mad but didnt go without either if that makes sense.
budget is a very flexible thing, if you have the CS DDp you ll not need to leave tips so that ll save you a fortune, try and hit some of the better ones to avoid eating burgers all day, take water to parks to save a fortune etc.
loads of ways of extending budget, get a taxi to walgreens and get beer/drinks for in room, about $10 but think how much you ll save!!
dont buy anything in gift/food shop..its soooo expensive!!

We stay onsite and tend to go for the DDP.We dont have a car and if we do IOA/Seaworld/shopping then we have to allow money for taxis. I work out a budget everyday and for 2 adults and a child I allow $100 a day if onsite park(except water parks when I budget $50) and $180 a day if off site as $55 dollors for taxi return. Once we have done each park once I tend to drop to $60 a day. I also allow $800 for shopping at the malls as like to stock up on clothes yankee candles and sketchers etc. Our spending money this year will be around $3500 as my mom is coming as well. Our present to her for all she does. Lots of car boots and ebaying.Just sold £185 worth so over $300 dollors already:cool1:
