Hi DISers!

looking at all options for our trip, but may ultimately look into postponing if Disney doesn’t update us soon. We have a lot of costs added if we postpone our wedding and it may be less stress for us to postpone our late June honeymoon on Disney World and on the Disney Dream. Obviously Dream is probably not going to happen, but not sure if we want to wait or not on World.

If we postpone or change by choice, will we lose our date specific tickets? They are already loaded into MDE. Anybody had any experience with this?

You can change the date on tickets up until their final expiration date.
If the dates to which you move are a higher cost than your current dates, you'd pay the extra difference.

Well first, all sailings on the dream through departures on June 18th are cancelled.
Tickets are currently extended to Dec 15. They won't lose their value but you will have to pay the difference if you want to use them after that

so his tickets are still showing as eligible for use 6/30-7/11 for 8 days. It does not show an extension when I login to look right now. Would it?

There seems to be no concrete answer to this lol. Some peoples tickets seem to have a new date, others don't. I would call Disney honestly. this is sort of uncharted territory for all us DISers and MDE is so glitchy anyways.

has the date updated for without penalty cancellations/postponements? Is it still 5/31

We have date specific tickets also through T@W. Gonna end up just applying to a trip for January 2021 instead. Email said to do it through MDE, but 2021 prices weren't out yet, so I'll probably end I up calling to switch. Tickets don't lose value, but we may end up having to pay a bit more in price difference which we're OK with.

WDW will automatically update the ticket expiration date to 12/15/2020 if the parks are closed on your dates; but I don't think it's actually updating until that date occurs (or gets close). You should be able to "modify" your dates if you'd like, this should be an option for anyone anytime, but as Robo mentioned if your new dates cost more you would have to pay the difference. To get the free automatic extension you'll have to wait for WDW to do it.

Congrats and enjoy your honeymoon -- sooner or later!

Tickets at work is extending the date until mid-December. View attachment 491517

Maybe I should rephrase. Our original plan wasn't Disney because I thought it would be too expensive and difficult for the bridesmaids. I found out the rough budget that was set for the original bachelorette before it was postponed and now I feel like Disney is definitely doable, but maybe only one day in the parks. I think Disney used to have a later admission ticket that was discounted and I think we would be interested in that. Who knows if that has changed or will change once the park opens.

Not within recent history.
Does Disney still offer/did Disney offer before the closure a discounted single-day park ticket if you enter the park after a certain time?
Not for regular guests.

They do offer various "Convention" tickets.
"After 2pm" tickets, "After 3pm" tickets, "After 4pm" tickets.
