Tickets and AP from Disney Store

Has anyone had luck buying these at the store and linking to your Magic Bands so you can make FP+ reservations? I'd think the AP might be a problem because it is just a voucher, but are the tickets just like those I could get off the Disney site or from Undercover Tourist? I have read mixed things

I bought mine at the Disney Store in January and linked them easily to MDE. (Regular park passes not annual passes)
