My daughter bought a 3 day Florida resident discover Disney ticket for September. Now she’s decided to stay an extra day. I know she can add the day once she arrives, but this type of ticket requires theme park reservations. Can she call to add the day? Or will she be fine to do it once she arrives? (She’s going to Epcot on wed 9/25)

Booked a last minute trip for August including Not So Scary and After Hours tickets. Life changed dramatically in 48 hours and now things are not looking good. I have read that if you give Disney a call they can change the special event tickets to ones further down the line but is this true. I am not sure this is going to make much of a difference for me but at least I might be able to kick the can down the road. I know I can just change the dates of the package to get around the change/cancel policy.

I’m sorry challenges have arisen and hope everyone will be ok.

It isn’t standard policy but WDW has been known to work with folks as a gesture of good will. It’s worth the call. Good luck!

Just making sure that I don’t need to make reservations for someone who I purchased the 4 day ticket on sale where you do one park a day. I thought I didn’t have to because it has a start date selected. Don’t want to screw up his trip since we had to book reservations for our APs

Date based tickets do not need reservations.

We were sick on our MNSSHP night last year. Disney let me use the value of those tickets for this year's MNSSHP. This year's were more expensive so I was charged the difference.

The tickets will disappear from your MDE account shortly after the date passes. Be sure to save your confirmation email so that you have the original confirmation number. It's not impossible for a cast member to look it up without the number, but it's more difficult and not all of them know how to do it. You can just wait until you're ready to book again to make the call.

I
Just pick the cheapest start date that includes all of your intended park days. It won't matter as far as booking the new LL - the system will simply look to see that you have a ticket that could be used on the date you're trying to book.
I decided to arrive a week before the 4 day tickets I bought start. Still in the same cost range. So you are saying I can book LL for my actual arrival?

If I understand the new LL system correctly, you should be able to book LL for the days the tickets are good, as long as you’re staying onsite AND those days fall within 14 days of your checkin date.

There is lo

There is no longer a way on MDE to change dates as far as I can tell.
If your arrival date is before the start date of the tickets, you won’t be able to use any of those tickets on the day you arrive. And you won’t be able to book any LL for a date before the start date of the tickets. If you can’t change the start date of the tickets yourself in MDE, you can call Disney and ask them to change the start date.

Yes, you can take them to Guest Relations to get them added to your MDE. Assuming your accounting is accurate, they can be used for any of the "plus" options:
  • waterpark
  • mini-golf (before 4pm)
  • foot-golf
  • oak trail 9-hole golf
  • or ESPN WWoS (which is little value unless you are actually attending an event, and most now have special pricing so the "plus" option doesn't work)
So if I tried to use any of these extras, can I use them for multiple people? Or just me?

So Price bridging, it's merely the difference between the cost of my old (unused) ticket, subtracted from the cost of upgrading to a couple of extra days ticket? (Which is what I'm now considering)

PP is correct -- if all the extras are on 1 ticket it can only be used by 1 person.

I think you had multiple tickets with plus options remaining, so you should be able to use them for as many people as you have old tickets: 1 ticket = 1 person, 4 tickets = 4 people. WDW may only allow you to assign the tickets to the original owner, but even if not keep in mind that whomever you assign the ticket to now will be the person who has to use all remaining entitlements left on that ticket.

In "old" times, price bridging meant that you got current value as credit when upgrading an older ticket. That is no more.

Now you get credit for the old ticket equal to what WDW sold that ticket for when it was first purchased. The exception being tickets older than 2016 are credited at 2016 values.

The cost to upgrade is the difference in price from the ticket you want (in your example 2 extra days) subtract the credit allowed (see paragraph above).

Thank you

Is there a predictable frequency at which Disney increases the prices of an AP? Booked a cheap flight during Prime Day yesterday, so now I am thinking about when is the right time to buy my next AP. I’d rather not spend the money quite yet, but I could to save myself from a price increase, That flight I bought might be used on a rare Universal trip instead as I might want to do that before their new park opens.
