Hello All

New to forum and new to Disney! I am taking my 3 boys to Orlando (13, 8, 6) on the 22 May.. We have booked Flights, car hire, and Villa, but not park tickets!!
It is so confusing..there are parks within parks!!
Would like to visit Disney, Seaworld, and Universal, trouble is since booking holiday my partner has lost his job, and prices of tickets for us all is coming up at nearly £2000.

Does anyone have any ideas of h0w to keep cost down, what tickets to buy, where from etc..

The boys love waterparks also

Any tips greatly appreciated

If you really need to save money, you should probably just get the Disney park tickets with water park fun and more option. If you skip tix to Univ and SW you will save money.

I realize that may not be what you would prefer.

Good luck in your quest.

Kate:thumbsup2

Hi there, Welcome to the Dis, Im just going to pop this over to UK Trip Planning for you where Im sure you will get oads of help:thumbsup2

The 14 day ulimates include the water parks for disney and i think that will suit you. Tickets can be expensive so work out perhaps whats most important for you to see

First of all, how long do you stay ?

If you're there 14 days or more, you should look towards Disney UK's ultimate tickets which include entry to both waterparks at WDW

There are no "parks within parks", Disneyworld (4 parks + 2 waterparks), Seaworld (1 park + 1 water park + discovery cove), Universal (2 parks + 1 water park) are all 3 different companies and separate entities.

If you're on a tight budget, it would be wise to skip a few.

You can easily discard seaworld, but it's not the most expensive.
If you have to keep only one, keep WDW over Universal. I don't say that because we're on a "disney" board, but because there is so much more to do at WDW.
You can see it all very thoroughly at Universal in 4 or 5 days and after that ... when you'll need a good 10 to 14 days at WDW to consider you've seen the essential.

Where to buy ? : authorised dealers only. You'll find a few adresses on this board, such as undercover tourist or attractions direct or dreams unlimited. Or through Disney direct (UK or US)

Do NOT fall for outlets that will sell you discounted tickets. This does not exist at WDW or Universal.
When in doubt, come here to ask.

There is more than enough to do at Disney for 2 weeks and part tickets (14 day ultimate) will be about 1k. For that you get Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Disney's Hollywood Studios, Typhoon Lagoon water park, Blizzard Beach water park and Disney Quest. I would skip Sea World and Universal for another trip if cash is an issue. Remember you can visit Downtown Disney for free as well.

Do not buy US tickets the 14 day UK ultimates are a much better deal.

I'm just back and I was in the same boat -I bought a 4 day disney (got an extra day free) a 2 day universal (got an extra day free) and 1 day sea world(got an extra day free in the park) - got them all from undercover tourist and for the 4 of us it was roughly £800 -I found 10 days out of 14 was more than enough tbh

We do either just disney or the other parks.

Over a 14 day holiday you can't get value from 14 day disney ultimate, 14 day universal and 14 day seaworld.

I'd have a family meeting and see what parks everyone really wants to do.

Then either buy the disney ultimates which gets you into 4 main disney parks plus 2 waterparks and free mini golf.

Or buy universal 14 day tickets to get you into universal and I of Adventure (harry potter) and 14 day seaworld/aquatica waterpark and busch gardens.

Do stick around - link in my signature to two dining on a budget reviews i've done - lotsof cheap and cheerful food ideas.

You're going in 10 days?:scared1:

I would agree with previous posters - get the 14 day Ultimates andd just 'do' Disney. This is what we did with our 3 kids aged 12, 8 and 5 and there was plently to do! You get 4 separate theme parks (Magic Kingdom is huge) and 2 massive Water Parks plus Down Town Disney. We didn't feel like we had done everything in 2 weeks,:goodvibes

Thank you all for your help. staying for 14 days, and yes leave in ten days time. Not very organized i know!

We have a class in family as my oldest son really wants to do universal and sea world, he thinks disney is just for the little ones, can you buy disney tickets for 3 to five day any cheaper then the 14 day passes that i seem to find?

Using Undercover Tourist discount a 5 day magic your way ticket is $270. That does not allow for park hopping or water park tickets.

How old is your eldest? Mine was 12 (almost 13) and there was plently to occupy her - Tower of Terror was a particular favourite. If he is really anti-Disney, you could compromise and go to Universal but not Seaworld. How many in your party?

If you can try and convince your eldest that WDW really is not only for little ones ..... there are many rides that are definitely NOT for little ones. If you need help to persuade him, get him to watch these links for video of some of the rides

There are more but this should (hopefully) whet his appetite enough to convince him that Disney is not just for little ones :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Five in party, including my 3 boys, 13, 8 and my youngest will turn 7 while we are there (any birthday ideas?)

The two oldest oldest hate queuing for rides and would rather be in waterparks. Sea world was mainly for my eldest but have to admit I would love to go!!

Sorry just read that there are 5 of you - similar to my family in terms of ages. Disney Ultimates will cost you around £1200 and you can get 14 day Universal Tickets for around £500. It's a lot of money on tickets!

I'm not that good with boys, having 3 daughters, but there is a Pirate League experience or you could do a character meal with a birthday cake.

WDW gives you brilliant 2 water parks.
