Does anyone no why Mary Waring is no longer reccommending ticketmani.com? She has reccommended them for years. Has their customer service gone down?

Larry

I've used them several times and got nothing but great service. I'd like to know why they weren't in this latest newsletter, too.

I may be wrong, I haven't read my newsletter nor visited her site in a while. But I don't think that Mary DOESN'T recommend Ticketmania any longer. I just believe that they no longer give Mousesaver Newsletter readers any additional discount. So no need to give a special link.

I say go with whatever (reputable) company gives you the best bottom line price. If that is Ticketmania, you won't go wrong. If it is Undercovertourist, Maple Leaf Travel, FloridaOrlandoTickets, or any number of vendors, then go with them.

Actually I noticed this the other day.. as far as I could see it was no longer listed anywhere on her site...

I know that Mousesavers newsletters have a link to discounted tickets at Undercover Tourist. However, when I priced our tickets there with the discount, and the regular prices at Ticketmania, they were still $1-2 CHEAPER at Ticketmania. I ordered from there based on savings and a referral from a coworker that used them several times before. I just got my email the other day that my tickets had been mailed. Everything was done quickly and without issue, so I am very happy with Ticketmania.

I see right now that Ticketmania is offering free shipping for "a limited time". When I purchased my tickets (at the "old" price, right after the hike was announced), Ticketmania was charging for shipping, and therefore the total price was higher than UndercoverTourist. I think that pick-up was still free but I was ordering so far ahead that I wanted them in my hands first :teeth:
I agree that I think if you go with any of the reputable dealers you will be fine.

I don't know ? I've used Ticketmania for many years via Mary's link and on my own even before she linked them in her newsletter. Now, they are not even mentioned on her site. I have emailed Mary and her staff occasionally over the years and always got a response within a few days. I emailed her last week about Ticketmania and asking if there was a problem. Haven't gotten a reply----I think I'm getting the silent treatment. I will not use Undercovertourist because Ticketmania has always been great and I feel I've done fine with them. Also, the fact that Mary is pushing Undercover with absolutely no mention of Ticketmania (link or not) and no explanation sort of turns me off. Considering I've used them and Mary's links for so long, all I was asking for was some sort of explanation. Even if I had gotten an email reply stating it was something general like a conflict of interest or something would have been better than just being ignored by her and her staff. Makes me suspicious.......

The link was missing last month, too, but since I had ordered from them in the past, I still checked out their prices. They wer $ 1 per ticket cheaper than Undercover. So I saved the $ 3 and ordered on a Monday, I had the tickets mailed and received them in a week. This was not even a month ago, and I think the customer service is still excellent.

Just to bump this thread, I just ordered nearly $1600 in tickets from Ticketmania.

I asked about what happened with the relationship with Mousesavers, and the gist of what I was told is that Mary @ Mousesavers went for a deal that gave her a better cut, one they were unwilling/unable to match. That could explain why Undercover Tourist's rates are a couple $'s higher per ticket.

I assume there's more to the story, however, as Ticketmania did admit to scaling back to internet only operations (closed the retail store). Perhaps Mary's comfort level with them decreased with the scaleback in operations, my guess it's a little of both.

I was told they felt Mary wasn't as loyal to them as she had been in the past, and there did appear to be some disappointment there, but I wouldn't call it bitterness. They indicated to me they were happy with the end result, but saddened by the end of the relationship. They wished mousesavers well with no ill will.

Apparently Ticketmania has compensated by the loss of referrals by offering their Mouesavers rates to everyone to increase sales. I'll ley you know when I get my tickets if all is well, but they did seem sincere and honest.

FTR, they are still officially licensed brokers by Disney and the other parks, however they are strictly internet only now.

I got my tickets in the mail last Friday. They came USPS, and I had to sign for them. No problems here!

I understand they closed their store (which we have used before), because they were doing the vast majority of their sales online. It seems like the brick and mortar store was only about 5% or so. It was to their financial benefit to go to all online sales.

Anyway, their prices were the best, and we're very pleased with the service.

I wondered what happened also, but because Im not always on the budget board, I thought I missed the discussion.

I had to look back on some of my old newsletters for the link.

Thanks for the update Preds. I had never gotten an email reply from Mary and was disappointed about that. I understand they probably get tons of emails, but I was a loyal customer of Ticketmania thru the Mousesaver's link---spent thousands over the years. A simple explanation from Mary's site would have been nice. I will not use Undercover Tourist based simply on how this whole thing was hush-hush and all and also based on the fact that I've had nothing but excellent service from Ticketmania during the past years.
Thanks again.

I just wanted everyone to know I received my tickets from ticketmania.

They were fast and efficient I would use them again without hesitation, even if Marry does not reccommend them anymore.

We bought our tickets from Ticketmania.com on a Sunday...and had them (USPS certified) before Friday of the same week--and my twin sis used them before.

This was for our trip we took just last week (too much AWESOME to write about).

I would without a doubt recommend and buy from them again (we did it online as did my sister).

I remember in the newsletter it was mentioned that Ticket Mania was charging a shipping fee that raised the prices over UnderCover and that had something to do with them not being as inexpensive.

However, I HATE :furious: Undercovers website with a passion!! It is hard to navigate and I can find no real info on their pages.

For DL last year I found AAA the best bargain!!!!!!!!!!! :wizard:

Here is something Ticketmania emailed me.
