I currently have two on site trips planned to WDW... August 2015 (7 days) and December 2015 (7 days).

I have free dining for the December trip so I know that I need to buy some tickets (currently the package has 7 day MYW PH). Those tickets show in MDE

I purchased 7 day MYW PH for my trip in August from UT. I haven't linked these tickets yet (no reason- sheer laziness)

Then I started to think- I believe an AP would be a better deal for me because I could use it in August, December, and some still unplanned trip next summer.

My question is now what do I do? Do I make my 60 day FP+ off of the (as of yet linked UT) tickets and upgrade to an AP when I get there?
Do I change my tickets on my December trip package to the minimum and just let them chill there for when I can use them at a later date?

Are there scenarios that I just don't see? I used to be a one trip a year gal but I seem to be going more and more!! Like most people I don't want to pay more than I have to!!

I appreciate any and all suggestions or help :thanks:

1. Yes.
2. Yes. Add your UT tickets to your MDE and book 7 days of FP+ for your Aug. trip at 60 days out.
Upgrade to AP after you have USED your UT at least one time to enter a Theme Park.
Your FP+ reservations will remain after the upgrade.
3. Right now, change your Dec. Package tickets to 2-day base tickets. Hold onto them and you
can use them and/or upgrade them on a future trip, or use their value to renew your AP next year, if you so choose.

Thank you very much!
Could you (or anyone else) direct me to where I figure out how much the AP SHOULD cost me? Is that called price bridging? The cost of what I paid for the tix is applied to the AP correct? and then I pay the difference but I want to ensure I am paying the correct amount!
Also- do I do this at Guest Services?

1. Click HERE.

2. Nope. Price bridging raises the price of the discounted ticket to the current FULL DISNEY PRICE for a new ticket of the same type that you bought from the discounter. See #4, below.

3. No.

4. You need to USE your original tickets at least one time to enter a theme park BEFORE you do the upgrade. (That will allow for the Price Bridging,)
A: You look up the current FULL DISNEY PRICE (click HERE) for a new ticket of the same type that you bought from UT.
B: You look up the current FULL DISNEY PRICE for a new Annual Pass of the type that you want.
Subtract A from B and that's what you'll pay for the upgrade (plus 6.5% sales tax on the difference amount.)

5. You can do this at any Guest RELATIONS or ticket booth, located outside any WDW park, water park, at TTC or two locations at DTD.

Just make sure that the "free" dining promotion is actually the best deal for you. A room-only discount, or even an Annual Pass discount could work out better, financially speaking. "Free" dining is a better deal when you have more people and stay at moderate or value resorts.

I would also advise you to check on BounceBack offers when you are there in August. You might find a deal that is better than free dining. Especially considering the additional ticket purchase. We booked a 35% off room discount for our upcoming Sep/Oct trip while there in April.

Thank you all so much! I will crunch numbers during one of my resort days and see if the BB or AP is better than what I have now.
