I currently have an 8 day water parks and more ticket, no PH...this is my itinerary.

day 1...no park/arrival day
day 2...MK
day 3...Epcot
day 4...AK
day 5...typhoon lagoon daytime
MK evening
day 6...MK
day 7...Epcot
day 8....blizzard beach no park
day 9....mk/departured day

my question is do I need an 8 day ticket or just a 7 with the water parks option?

Looks like you're entering "main" parks on seven calendar days, so you only need a 7-day ticket plus your WPF&M option for the two visits to the water parks.

FWIW, if you do decide you'd like to add hopping, it's only about another $25.

I count 7 park days on your itinerary. Day 5 has Typhoon Lagoon, but also MK in the evening. The only days you're not going to a park are Day 1 and Day 8.

As someone else mentioned, with a MYW + WP ticket, it's only $26 + tax to add park hopper to each ticket. Or add an extra day (Day 1 or Day 8) for $10 + tax per ticket.

Adding Park Hopper to a ticket that already has WPF&M, or adding WPF&M to a ticket that already has Park Hopper, is discounted.

OK, if you say so... could very well be and I have just never heard about it before. In all fairness I never get the WPF&M so I have no first hand knowledge of that. Seems odd to me that they would do that since it is two different experiences. Oh, well! Live and learn.

Don't take my word for it, go look at the ticket sales part of the website.

A 4-day tourist ticket is $324.83 after tax.

A 4-day tourist ticket with either option is $392.99 after tax.

A 4-day tourist ticket with both options is $420.68 after tax.

That makes the cost $27.69 for the second option.

(A ticket shorter than 4 days has different math involved because PH is cheaper to add anyway, but there's still a discount if you 'bundle' both options.)
