Ticket windows

I'm almost embarassed to ask this question. I've been to WDW so many times, yet I've never really had to use the ticket windows at the entrance to the parks before. I'm going to purchase an AP this time, and will need to buy one there. Are the windows open until park close or do they close earlier? Thanks!

If you want to buy an AP, you'll want to go to the Guest Services windows. At the Magic Kingdom, they have one line for all ticket sales at Guest Services. At the other parks, they have a separate Guest Services window away from the ticket booths.

Yes, GS should be open until park closing.

There is also a location at the Downtown Disney Marketplace that can issue APs.

Unless you are counting the days on your AP, I would recommend going the afternoon before you actually go to the parks. I learned that when the park opens, the line at Guest Services can be very long, especially when you have kids in tow. We needed to get a Guest Assistance Pass for our autistic son, and made the mistake once of going in the morning.

You do not have to go to Guest Relations to purchase the AP. You can get one at any park ticket booth. All you need to do is to present a photo ID.

Thanks guys! I'm actually going to the park for the first time this trip in the late afternoon, so hopefully lines to get my AP won't be a huge issue. I was just afraid that GS or the booths might be closed. It looks like I'll be getting it at the MK gate... Thanks again for all of your help!
