Ticket upgrades - unique question

I know folks have posted a lot on the cost of ticket upgrades and I have done a search, but it still does not seem clear.

My first question is: If I purchase a 6 day no expiry park hopper and I use 5 days and come back later. What is the cost to upgrade from the 6 day no exp PH to a 10 day no exp PH?

From other posts, I gather it is the difference between the listed price of the 6 day and 10 day no exp PH, is that correct or is there another fee I am not thinking about.

My strategy is this: I have a 5 day trip planned April and another 5 day trip planned December, however I would like to save money now by buying the 6 day no exp pass. When I come back in December, I am thinking that I will pay an additional $100 to upgrade.

My second question is: If I purchase a 5 day no expiration and use all 5 days on this trip, can I come back later and upgrade to 10 day no exp?

It is my understanding that you cannot upgrade a ticket once you use it past 10 days... so if you purchase a 5 day hopper and use it for 4 days you still can use that last day however it is not upgradeable.... I'm pretty sure thats the way it works...

You can't do either of these things.

If you are going to upgrade a MYW ticket, it needs to be within 14 days of first use.

And once the days on a ticket are completely used, it's done. You can't add days onto it later.
