Ticket upgrade question

I'm sure it's been answered before but I can't seem to find it.

I'm aiming to buy a 5 day PH before I go in October, preferably through AirMiles, or through FC if all else fails. I'm actually there for 4 days, but want to upgrade my tickets to an AP (signature - the one with the PP+ included). I know I do this at the ticket windows once I arrive.

My question is, will having a 3 day PH or a 5 day PH make a difference in what I'd pay onsite for the upgrade? It's an extra 400AM so if it's not much of a difference, or no difference at all, then I'd rather save the AM.

You would have to pay $40 more for the AP if you buy the 3 day PH vs. the 5 day PH - so you just have to figure if the 400AM is worth that. Remember that is about $58 CAD with the exchange though.

buying vouchers or gift cards with airmiles usually results in $10 = about 95 airmiles, varies by product though. That would mean that 400 airmiles is worth just over $40 CAD, so given the exchange likely to only get worse, I'd buy the 5dayPH and have less to pay at the ticket booth!
