Ticket upgrade question

We're going down in November and will be buying 7 day MYW tickets. I don't think we will use all the days. Can I upgrade to no expiration my last day there and only pay to upgrade the days I didn't use? In terms of budget, the tickets for 4-7 day MYW cost the same so I might as well get the 7 day, but I'm certain I'll be wasting a day or two if I don't upgrade.

When you upgrade to no expiration the price is based on how many days your original ticket is for, not how many days are left. If you start with a 7day ticket that is what it would be based on.

As the previous poster said, you pay for the non expiration option based on the total number of days on the ticket, both used and unused, so it will be reasonably expensive to add the no expiration option to your ticket even if you only have a few days left.

Also note that after you have a 4 day ticket it only costs $3 per day to add additional days, so even if you use 4 days and let your three extra free days go to waste you'll only be wasting $9.

Why even pay for seven days to start. Just buy what you need, then you can add additional days as needed for only $3.20 per day per ticket (including tax).

And the NE fee is based on the total used and unused days on the ticket.

Or upgrade to APs and go as many times as you like in 12 months:thumbsup2

She didn't say it, but I suspect that she was getting her tickets at undercover tourist. They sell 4, 5, 6, and 7 day tickets for the exact same price.

If that's the case and you can get the extra days for free then you may as well do it... if you use them, great... if not, then oh well. At least with the extra days as an option you won't feel like you're wasting the day if you only go into a park for a couple hours on the day you arrive or depart or you want to go in to watch the fireworks or the parade one evening on a non park day. But as I said above, I don't think it's worth preserving those extra free days with non-expiration if you don't use them.

Yep, I'll be getting my tickets from UT. I figured the same thing, but DH was thinking otherwise. Thanks for all the help!

We upgraded our 7 day MYW base tickets from UT last May. We had 3 days left and if we upgraded we got 7 fun visits for $50 with the upgrade.
