Ticket upgrade question with FP+

We are staying 6 nights onsite and have 5 day tickets linked in MDE. We bought the tickets directly through Disney. Our 60 days is tomorrow so if I am understanding I can only book 5 days of FP+.

Our plans have changed and we want to add a 6th day. There is no way to do this in advance correct?

We will be in Orlando for a few non park days prior to our onsite stay. Can I go to Guest Services and upgrade my ticket then before I use it? At that time I would be able to make the extra day of FP+ correct?

I am trying to decide which day to skip making FP+ for now.

If the tickets are part of your resort room reservations, you can upgrade now, over the phone.

If they are stand-alone tickets, after you arrive at WDW you can go to Guest Services (Guest Relations) and upgrade the tickets before you use them.
At that time you would be able to make the extra day of FP+.

They are stand alone tickets. I should be able to upgrade at Downtown Disney right?

Thanks for the advise about AK. This is not our first trip with FP+ but I still worry about it.

Yes. At either of the two Guest Relations locations.
