Hey folks: I am thinking about buying a 5 day base ticket on my Airmiles for a member of my party (because it is basically free) but the rest of us will have 5 day hopper + Water Parks. I will need to upgrade when I get there to a Hopper and Water Parks option. FYI - Airmiles will not sell the options, only base.

i) Will I be charged the difference between the base and hopper + WP ($153) difference? I have read that it can be the difference between what you pay and what you want, but I think I am confusing things. I am happy to just pay the $153 upgrade but don't want to get stuck when I am there.

ii) I will link the old ticket to our MDE before we get there, when I upgrade it will it automatically maintain all FP+ and ADRS for that person?

iii) Where can I upgrade it if we get in the day before the first day in the parks?

iv) With Water Parks option: We will be getting in a day before our first park day. Can we use a water park day on that day before we are scheduled to hit the parks, or does it activate only on the day the MDE sees us as hitting the parks?

Thanks guys. As much detail as possible is always appreciated.

1) Assuming your 5-day base ticket is a regular type of ticket, adding PH and WPF&M will cost less than that. I'm on my phone so I don't have the numbers in front of me, but bundling both options saves money over the individual price of each option.

EDIT: Base price of a 5-day looks like $362.10 after tax, price of a 5-day with PH and WPF&M looks like $463.28 after tax.

2) Yes.

3) Guest Relations at Disney Springs, or the ticket booths or Guest Relations windows outside any park.

4) You can start using your tickets, whether it's park days or WPF&M entitlements, any time you want. All entitlements expire 14 days from the first use of any entitlement.

We added the water park option at our resort at the concierge desk. That was a few years ago though.
