Ticket upgrade and biometric question?

Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone knows the answers for these questions:

I am thinking of buying a vacation package but I'm thinking of possibly getting an AP instead. If I buy the package, is it possible for me to upgrade it to Deluxe AP later on?

If I buy the package will I receive the tickets before I fly out or are they given to me when I arrive at the hotel?

Also, does DL do biometric like WDW?
Could I give leftover days on a parkhopper ticket to a friend by any chance? or is that a no-no?

Yes, you can upgrade your package parkhoppers to AP's at any time during your stay. Be sure to use any special features first - like EE.

There is no biometric readers like WDW has. However, it is a no-no to share a ticket that you have already used.

Plus, DL tickets expire 14 days after the first use (except APs), so if your friend was coming later than you, they wouldn't work.

You can upgrade your ticket They will give you the full value of what you paid for it. You'll want to upgrade before the end of the last day of use- so if you have a 3 day hopper, upgrade before then end of the 3rd day. If you upgrade on a blackout day, you can still go in the park. Be sure to use your early entry before upgrading or you'll loose it. Once you upgrade you are eligible for ap discounts.

If you buy a package from Disney travel they will fed ex your tickets and other info 21 days before your trip. If you book a couple weeks in advance they'll fed ex them right a way. If you book the week you go, you'll get them in will call. If you book thru someone else you'll want to ask them what they do. Getawaytoday tickets have to be picked up at the park.

Also, does DL do biometric like WDW? No
