Ticket Taxes Question

Hi there -

Can someone tell me what the tax on tickets is if you order them in advance - is it the Florida state tax or is it the state tax of where they are shipped?

Also, anyone know if AAA ticket prices include tax?

It's the Florida state tax (6½%).

We picked up our tickets at our local AAA on Valentine's Day.

For us a 5 day PHP was $221 total each.

I don't know about having them shipped, but I wanted to tell you what I paid while picking them up.

Regardless of where you live or where you buy them, the only sales and use tax you pay on them is the FL tax at 6.5%. Even tax free states pay this tax.

I asked a CM at TDS last week what the tax was on the pre-purchse PH+ tickets and she said it was 7%.
What's up with that?

Just one of the ever-growing ranks ill-informed TDS CMs. The only tax you pay as stated above is the 6.5% Orange County FL tax.

In North or South Carolina the answer is yes! Don't know for sure about other parts of the country, but if you check the various AAA websites, it should say.
