ticket "swap" question

We were thinking of taking DS's to Universal/IOA when we go down to Orlando. Was thinking of getting 2 day 2 park passes for the boys and DH.
If after day 1 of the 2 day passes DH can't handle it any longer (due to back), or can't go on the rides the boys want to go on, can I use his ticket? Are there scans or signatures or anything?

Universal uses a combination of a signature or a thumb scan for ticket security. I'm not sure which they would use for the 2 day/2park passes, I'm guessing the thumbprint.
