If ordering a 6-day ticket online for 214.00 but the original price is 254.00 what is the price that shows up on the ticket? I'm thinking of upgrading but want to know what the difference will be. Also, can our GAD vouchers be used toward the upgrade?

Last question, if I purchase a 6-day child's ticket online for 184.00 but need 2 more days, what are my options?
Any info would be appreciated!

At DLR, you do not get the price "bridged" when upgrading. You lose any discounts you had on the tickets. They know what you paid, and that's what you upgrade from.

You can take the GAD vouchers and upgrade from them, which gives you a credit of a one-day ticket. But you wouldn't want to buy a ticket and use the GAD voucher to help out with the upgrade. It's *possible* they'd do that, but I wouldn't count on it personally. Plus, there's no point, as they will know what you paid for the other tickets, and you'll get the exact same credit from the GAD voucher as you would have before.

For US citizens there is no higher ticket than 6 days. You get to either buy a 2 day ticket, or upgrade to an AP if you need those extra days. I haven't a clue why they dumped the longer tickets, but they did.

You will be credited the price you paid for your tickets, toward your upgrade to an AP. So if you paid $214 for your ticket, you get $214 credit toward your AP. If you paid $254 for your ticket, you get $254 toward your AP. So in short, it doesn't matter how much someone pays to get in--it's going to cost the same amount out-of-pocket when they upgrade to an AP.

Basically, you can't use your GAD to upgrade a partly-used park hopper (even if you used it for just that day).

But you CAN upgrade your GAD to an AP or a hopper.

In other words, if you go into the park then you can pay the price difference between your GAD voucher and an AP (skipping the park-hopper entirely). OR, you can upgrade your GAD voucher to a park hopper (and then later upgrade that park hopper to an AP, if you like). This is the way to go if you want Magic Morning or have some AP blockout dates during your trip.

Provided you're visiting after September 30 (when the current deep discount expires), I don't think there's any good way to handle your child's ticket. If you're upgrading to Deluxe APs, that's probably the way to go. (If there's a good chance you'll be visiting Disneyland again before a year's up then getting an AP is a great deal regardless.)

6-day plus 2-day = $184 + $139 = $315
5-day plus 3-day = $179 + $154 = $333
4-day plus 4-day = $169 + $169 = $338

Have a great trip!

Thanks for your help, I thought I understood all you explained to be the case but wasn't 100% sure! I appreciate the responses!

When purchasing the park hopper bonus tickets online how and what do I get from disneyland.com?

Do they mail me the tickets or do I get a print out and take it to the booths when I get there?

If you choose the e-ticket option, you will get an email with a PDF file in it. Print that out, take it to the turnstile. It will be scanned and you will be given a proper (paper) ticket.

If you're doing the e-ticket option for an AP, it's the same thing, but the ticket you're given is sort of a "place holder" AP. That day you need to take it to the AP processing center where you'll have a picture taken, give them your info, etc, and you'll leave with an AP.

Molly, can you just take the paper AP to a turnstile, enter the park to go to the processing center?

I'd like to know that myself? I'd hate to stand in line to get into the park with my e-ticket only to be told that I have to go to the ticket booth.

Can anyone help me with this?

When I purchased my AP last July I took my e-ticket straight through the turnstiles. The printed a paper ticket and I had to go to the processing center to get it converted by the end of the day (I went right away, took all of 10 minutes to complete!)
