We will be going in July for 14 days. We plan on buying the 10 day hopper plus tickets with the package. Toward the end of the trip, if we decide we need a couple more days, Can we upgrade those tickets or will we have to buy new tickets?

I believe that the 10 day is the longest span you can get. That's what it says on the Allears website anyway.

Ten days is the max for multi-day MYW tickets purchased and used in the USA.

After that point, an ANNUAL PASS will start to look pretty good, expecially with the resort, dining and other discounts that can come with owning an AP.

I thought they were talking of extending the MYW tickets to 12 or maybe even 14 days for the 2007 packages .

They have not shown this yet but they may not start until the Jan date.

you can now book a room for 14 days, but still only 10 day MYW tickets.

The only thing you could upgrade to would be an annual pass.
But I really don't think you'll want to spend more than 10 days in the parks. With a 2 week trip, you'll definitely need some rest days. So you could take a few days to just relax, visit DTD, play some miniature golf, hang out at the pool, whatever.
Or since your trip is in July, spending a couple days staying cool at the water parks would be great.

I guess what I was asking after we used a few days of the pass and realized we needed another day or two, could we add a few days. After using three days, could we upgrade back to the ten day ticket??

No, because it's still regarded as a 10-day ticket. that is the max for a ticket.
