In 2015, I purchased an AP voucher and a 7 Day Child PH from the Disney Store. From UCT I purchased 2 adult 7 day PH and 1 7 day PH tickets.

1. Linked all of our tickets to MDE (from UCT and Disney store). Even if not using them, is there an advantage to picking them up this trip? (next trip go right to entrance?)

2. 2015 AP voucher from Disney store - When I go to pick it up at GS, will I be charged the price difference?

3. Tickets from UCT are upgraded from the cost prior to February's price increase - 7D PH so 446.24 and 467.54. Totally understand that part. However, the child's 7D PH purchased from Disney store in 2015 will be "bridged." So I pay a. the price difference from 2015 cost to 2017 cost and then b. difference to AP?

4. since AP same for child or adult, can I upgrade child 7DPH to adult AP?

Thanks!

1. Not really.
2. Nope.
3a. Yes. They will be "worth" what they cost on Feb. 11, 2017. $446.24 child and $467.54 adult.
3b. Yes.
3c. No. It will be "worth" what it would have cost on Feb. 11, 2017.

Thanks so much. going to be pricey to upgrade the DS PH ticket.

Is there a way to tell in MDE which ticket was purchased from DS v. UCT?

It doesn't matter.
They will be treated the same.
Their bridge value will be worth what they would have cost at WDW on Feb. 11, 2017.

thanks so much. want to make sure I understand 100%

redeeming AP voucher won't cost a thing since "activating" an AP to use. AP for AP

Per the first page of the all about tickets thread it states that upgrading v. bridging is different. Disney store ticket - the one 7 day child PH, will be treated like purchased from Disney directly. So I need to pay the difference btw 2015 and 2017 price and then the cost to upgrade. Without knowing the numbers (2016 was the large price increase I believe), that's a lot more than Feb 2017 value to current AP price.

I guess, I pay full face value on that one. Am I thinking about this correctly?

OR, since they don't know if DS or UCT since on MDE do they just give me Feb 2017 value?....which would be more than 2015 cost.

Upgrading is adding days to a ticket or taking a ticket to an AP.

Bridging is what they do with the price. From the ticket sticky, it states "Price bridging IS done for upgrading tickets purchased at any retail Disney Store."

And I think he's mis-typing when he types 2016. So each time he's telling you that the tickets will be bridged to be worth the price just before the last increase. So it doesn't really matter what you paid for them; they should be brought up in price to what those tickets would have cost at the gate Feb 11 2017. So then you go from there to what the current cost of the APs you're getting.

"So I need to pay the difference btw 2015 and 2017 price"...in effect, Disney is paying that difference. Then you pay the difference between the AP and that. :)

They aren't going to charge you anything when you pick up the prepaid AP voucher.

Thanks bumbershoot. You get my confusion. I totally get the UCT tickets but the Disney store ones are throwing me off since they're treated different. I've only purchased AP with UCT before.

In short, for the Disney store ticket - child 7 day - wdw gate will "give me" the Feb 2017 pre increase price. So treated just like an UCT ticket?

I may be getting really confused. LOL

Buying from the Disney Store is NOT buying "directly from Disney."

1. Yes.
2. No. Not treated differently from UT.
Buying from the Disney Store is not considered buying "directly from Disney."
3. No.
4. THEY will be able to tell which ticket is which, but it doesn't matter as far as your price is concerned. Both UT tickets and Disney Store tickets will be treated (price-bridged) the same way.

Thank you so very much. Sorry to pepper with all the questions. We arrive on Sunday and I want to figure out the AP cost before we arrive so I know I am getting the correct amount.
