Okay --- are the tickets REALLY non-tranferrable? I'm buying 7day hopper non-expiration tickets for my family (2 Adults, 1 Child) and one for Grandma -- who is going this year ...

We will not use all our days on this trip --

I'm planning on being able to use my Mothers unused days next year or after....

I know they do the finger check thingy... but do they really care if its on different days -- years later? Do they REALLY check!?

:cool1:

Its really tough to predict what measures will be in use a year or two down the road, but I'd have to believe that the finger-scan thing will exist.

If you're a gambler, don't worry about it...but the odds are in Disney's favor that the only one able to use the remaining days will be the original person who's fingers were 'scanned' and 'paired' with the ticket.

Several years ago, when they first instituted the scanners, a friend of mine gave me his FL resident 4 day hopper that had one day left on it. Not understanding that they weren't transferrable, I tried to use it. Hey, I'm a FL resident too, I thought it would be okay, right? How embarrassed was I when they held up the line, asked for an ID and then confiscated the ticket!

Your plan will not work. Why not just buy a few extra days on your ticket and get her a ticket with just the number of days see will need?

ALL WDW Ticket media is not only NONTRANSFERABLE, but it is also REVOKABLE. ( says right on all WDW ticket stock )

So yeah, They really are nontransferable.
