I bought a child's 10 visit Park Hopper Pass with all the bells and whistles last year for my 9 year old daughter. Thinking when we would go back the next year she could use the unused days and extras. And as much as would like for my sweet little girl to be 9 forever, she turned 10 last March. If the question isn't obvious already, here it is:

Can she still use the pass even though she is now 10 and should be using an adult pass? Do I and can I upgrade it to an adult?

Any advice is helpful.

BTW- We are going to WDW again in Sept and still will not use the remaining days left on her pass, so she will need to use it when she is 11.

Thanks,

Mike :teacher:

Surprised there's no response to this yet. I know that I have seen on these boards (though I haven't had the experience myself), that you will be allowed to upgrade her ticket to an adult ticket at no additional cost, assuming, of course, that she had already used the ticket at least once. I think you just have to do this at ?guest relations? the first day you go to the park?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong!

I hope you are correct. I rather spend the money in the park than on upgrading her ticket.

I've never had to do it, so I'm not totally sure but I thought you can upgrade a child's ticket and pay the difference? Maybe it's prorated if some days are used? I'm not sure -- maybe a WDW CM will see this and let us know!! :confused3 :confused3

Yes, you are correct. You will be able to upgrade it and there should be no cost.

I just read the following on mousesavers web site under advice about tickets.
I have yet to try to call Disney to confirm, but have heard this from fellow
Dis-ers. Guest Services/Relations are located at the Park entrances.

Little-Known Tip for Childrens' Tickets

A neat thing about leftover days on a child's "no expiration" ticket: if the child turned 10 since you bought the ticket, he or she will need an "adult" ticket to enter the theme parks. In these circumstances, the child's ticket may be presented at any Guest Services location, in person only, to have it exchanged for the required "adult" ticket -- at no additional charge! This only applies to partially used tickets that have not expired. Thanks to Lois H for the info.

Where is Guest Relations in MK?

My DS turned 10 a few years back with our AP's. We upgraded him to an adult AP (we paid the difference pro-rated- was about $50).

We do not lie to Disney.
Plus Disney has our kids birthdays on their system.

My DS son was proud he had an adult ticket.

We are now all adults.

We all have adult DQ tickets (from ticketmania.com) and will have adult park hoppers.

Guest Relations/Information at MK is to the right of the entrance near the restrooms. There is a very detailed map of MK on the Disney World and Orlando Unofficial Guide web site.

Does anyone know where Guest Relations is one at AK?

There are 2 locations at the Magic Kingdom. One is to the right of the turnstiles before entering the park up by the train station. The other is at City Hall on the left after going under the train station.

As long as there has been at least one day used on the 10 day child's ticket, you can upgrade it to adult at no charge

It looks like I can upgrade it at no charge. :cheer2:
I will be staying at the BCV's, does anyone know where guest relations is at either Epcot or MGM?

:rolleyes1

A child annual pass is supposed to be used for an entire year as-is by the child who purchased it, even at age 9 years 11-1/2 months.

yes, if you go into Epcot from the International Gateway entrance, the Guest Relations booth is to the right of the turnstiles. If you are going into Disney MGM, the Guest Relations is to the left of the turnstiles, between the gift shop and the kennel. From the Epcot resorts, if you aren't going into a park, the International Gateway Guest Relations is probably the most convenient.

SeashoreCM is correct, it doesn't make sense that you had to pay to have it upgraded from a child's ticket to an adult ticket, as long as it had been used beforehand. Even if the child turns 10 2 months after purchasing the child's AP, he can either use it until it expires, or have it complimentarily upgraded at any Guest Relations at WDW. :confused3 :confused3

AK Guest Services is to the left of the turnstiles once you pass the ticket booths.

If you are looking for Guest Services at Animal Kingdom, you won't find it. They have Guest Relations, and they also have 2 locations:)... one to the left of the turnstiles before entering the park and one immediately after entering the turnstiles to your left. If it is a ticket issue, you may need to take care of it at the location outside the turnstiles.
