Ticket question

I have a question for you experts. Does anyone know if I would be able to exchange an unused 5 day hopper plus adult pass (previous type ticket) for a new updated type child 7 day pass? I believe the new 5 day adult passes are valued at $301. and the childs 7 day passes including everything are valued at $286. I wouldn't even care about the refund if that would matter. TIA

Not absolutely sure, but I was told that yes you can do that exchange because the old pass is totally unused.

But even if you get a definitive Yes answer in advance you may still run into a ticket agent who does not know all the details, and you might have to spend time at Guest Relations discussing the matter with supervisors.

I'm not sure if you can trade in a child's ticket for an adult or vice versa or not, but be aware that you won't get today's value for that old ticket - you'll be credited with what you paid for it back when you bought it. That's encoded on the ticket itself. It's worth finding out whether you can do this, then comparing the past purchase price to the ticket you want now.

I don't see a child's ticket that works out to $286. Everything is either more or less.

In any event, I think because you're going from Park Hopper to Magic Your Way, you should be able to do this. But yes, you would lose out on the difference.

You may upgrade an unused park hopper for any other ticket of equal or greater value. If the 5 day adult ticket is more than the 7 day child's ticket you wouldn't be able to to it. However, if there were options that you could use on the 7 day child's to increase the value to equal in price to that of the adult, that would be "doable".
