When linking tickets to MDE ahead of time, should you make them inactive until they are needed to make fast pass reservations. Or, doesn't it matter. Thanks Disney ticket experts

You don't need to deactivate the plastic tickets. As soon as the ticket entitlements that were "on" the plastic tickets are linked, you can't deactivate them. Once the entitlements are linked, they are valid and can be reassigned up until the first park entrance.
