I'm sure this has been asked, but I seem to have missed it...

Is the 2-day plus extra day free ticket the same as a 3-day ticket? It's cheaper, so I'm wondering if something is missing from it?

Also, can someone tell me when buying one AP becomes worth it (assuming I'm just there for 3 days)? I see the list of benefits, but it's tough to find details. For example - how much is the savings on food and other stuff? Does free parking include the on-property hotel parking? How likely are we to find an annual pass hotel rate (if we are going at a busy time of year)? I'm sure someone's done the analysis...

yes, the 2 day plus 1 day will work like the 3 day ticket.

the power pass does not allow discounts on food/merch but does for hotel rooms, park tickets and blue man group tickets.
the preferred pass does include the discounts

the free parking is after you activate the ap but covers the park garage parking only.

the ap cost is different for all three levels.
i have the preferred pass and can't say it saves me hundreds on my trips but i'm satisfied for the 10% discount on the items in the parks and city walk i get.
for room discounts, i come out better using the smsm hotel rate as my stays are longer so the smsm discount is deeper.
