Ticket Question

Hey Everyone!

Probably a dumb question, but I'm going to ask anyways :earboy2:
We are staying offsite in March and I just bought our tickets thru the MDE app.
After purchase, I logged out/back in and see all 5 tickets listed under the 'Tickets & Passes' section and all are assigned to the correct folks.
Does this mean I have 'linked' my tickets?
I'm also apparently getting paper tickets via FedEx as well, so wasn't sure if I still need to do anything once the paper tickets arrive....or if I am essentially done with 'linking'.

Thanks!

You are all set.

You will not receive paper tickets, they are RFID enabled plastic cards. If you do not wish to purchase magic bands, you will use the cards for park entry and at the fast pass entry points. Just hold the card to the touchpoint.

Thanks so much! That's what I guessed, but I cant handle the thought of having missed a step....hahaha!
I'm ordering Magic Bands today as well, and I do know I have to link those once I get them!

Since you bought through MDE the linking happened automatically. The bands will have to be linked and assigned to individual party members separately.

And to set your mind at ease, once you do the step above (link the bands to individuals, using the code on the back of the bands), you do not have to do anything else. The bands are just a link to all the information in your MDE, including the park tickets and fastpass reservations.

Have a great trip!

Not to hijack the thread, but related questions.
I have old MBs from previous trip (Nov 2014). I just bought 1 day tickets for Jan 19, received the plastic card. Also bought tickets and received them for February trip.
All 3 show up in MDE assigned to correct person (MB, and 2 plastic tickets). Does that mean we can use the MB for both trips or do I have to do anything to "link" or assign the plastic tickets to the MB?

Yep, as long as your bands are showing in your MDE, you are all set to use them to access your current tickets.

Be sure your tickets are prioritized correctly, so that the system does not use the February ticket first (assuming that is multi-day). To do this, you can call and ask them to do it in the system. To be sure, I always check before I enter the park also. You can stop at a ticket window or guest relations to do that, or I just ask for one of the CMs near the gates with an iPad. They can scan your band and ensure the correct ticket is "on top" and will be used first.

Wow. I never thought about the priority of the two tickets. Never been in the situation before of having 2 trips planned (my son is entering the College Program).
thanks so much for that tip.
