Ticket question

Hi all:) happily in the world now but I have a slight issue-we purchased a 5 day hopper ticket prior to getting here and have just upgraded in MK this afternoon to annual passes-that bit went fine. HOWEVER.. When she upgradedy ticket-she spoke about currently using a one day ticket (I should have 2 unexpired tickets on MDE) I said that the past 2 days admission should be on the 5 day hopper and not using the 2 1 day tickets I had on my account.... She then confirmed that yes the 5 day ticket 'I can see that now' and she said 'I just got a little confused-it's been a long hot day'. Only I've just checked MDE tonight to reserve more fp+ and its used both my 1 day tickets for yesterday and today!!! I'm so annoyed!!!

My question is- if I go to guest services tomorrow at downtown, will they mend mde and give me my 2 1 day non expire tickets back?! I obviously did not want to use them now and I feel the cast member today at MK should have done something then.....

But, be prepared to spend some TIME when you go.

You can fix your ticket issue at Guest Relations at Downtown Disney (2 locations) or at the front of any theme park, plus there's a GR at Epcot International Gateway entrance. When you have multiple tickets in your MDE account, there's no guarantee which ticket will be used for entry UNLESS you visit Guest Relations before entry, to prioritize the order of your tickets.

I presume you received full credit for a 5-day PH ticket (cost $403.64) towards each AP (cost $696.51), balance around $292.87 (all sums including tax). If the CM helping you just gave you a trade-in from what she considered an unused 5-day ticket, your AP start date would be the date of the transaction. However, if you had used your 5-day ticket, the AP start date would be the first date you used the 5-day ticket. In either case, you would receive full credit for your 5-day ticket.

It's wasteful to use 2 single tickets for park entry vs using the 5-day PH ticket. It surely wasn't your intention. Disney will fix this for you. As explained, depending on what really happened when you entered the parks on those 2 days, it may change the start date of your new AP. Or you may receive pixie dust and get to keep a later start date for your AP.

In the situation of multiple tickets in your MDE account, you could ask Guest Relations to remove the other tickets onto plastic ticket media (like the old KTTW cards), that you could keep separate. If the extra tickets were unused, you could create phantom people in your MDE account and transfer the extra tickets there. Later, you could transfer the tickets back to the names of the people you want to assign the tickets to. With either choice, only the tickets you want to use would be available for use in MDE and no mix-ups.
 
Thanks for the replies!! When we went to AK on Thursday (first park day!) we asked at guest relations how much for an AP-they quoted us the price bridged price of $159 for both adult tickets (inc. tax) which is what we had worked out too so that bit was fine- means they price bridged my unused 5 day ticket! MK quoted the same price (I think because the AK lady fixed the price of our tickets) but again no mention of the ticket not being used....

It's a bit pointless either way about the start date as my dh and dd both got annual passes yesterday too and they started yesterday... So even if I don't sort it out for another 2 weeks I can't see them changing the dates on all our ap.... (I guess it won't hurt to try tho!!!) fingers crossed they sort it out!!
