Ticket Question

If i purchase a WDW ticket(s) online and link it to my MB, and for whatever reason, we end up having to cancel our trip how long will Disney honor these unused tickets?

I did read the ticket sticky and I know that tickets expire after 14 days after first use. I can't find anything that says how long an unused ticket is good for.

The only thing I can find on the official site is this:
'Walt Disney World Resort continues to honor all unexpired theme park tickets with remaining admission days.'

Does this mean forever?

I do believe that, yes, as long as a ticket is unused, it is valid forever. Once the first use happens, they expire within 14 days.
