ticket question

I had asked a similar question before but don't think I asked it right, so sorry for asking again. I have two choices for a trip coming up at the end of this month
1. book tickets through UT and save $100, but they won't come for a week or so and we will only have days to book fast pass +
2. book tickets through Disney directly and print them and book fast passes + now.

I am guessing given we are going on a long weekend (and the week after) it will be very busy and fast passes will be needed as much as we can. But, will a week make a difference? should we pay up and get them now or wait?

It is a last minute trip and we are scrambling!
