My daughter is 9 years old so we bought her the childs ticket for the parks, but she is big for her age so people are always asking if she and her sister are twins and her sister is nearly 12. Is this going to cause a issue when we go to get into the parks? Will they question us about her age? If they will do we need to bring her birth certificate or something else with us on the trip to prove to them that she is 9? Thanks in advance for your help with this.

that is a good question...I have two boys who just turned 10 & 8 and my 8 yo is pretty much the same size as my 10Yo.

From what I've been told by a friend who works at Universal, by law they can not make you prove age or disability. I would take a copy of her BC, just to be on the safe side though. We're taking one for our bigger than average 2 year old.

Nope. No issues at all. Disney is happy to trust you and allow you to just enjoy your vacation. You don't need to prove anything and I have never heard of an employee asking you to prove a child's age. My DD is 10 years old and she is 5'2". Has always been very tall and mature for here age and never had anyone even look twice in the last few visits. She is taller than my DS12.

I always have both my children's passport cards on me just in case when we travel inside the US or outside. Never had to use either at WDW. They do like to show it to security like big shots at the airports though.:lmao:

Don't let it worry you and have a great vacation.

I asked about this because my 2 boys are a year apart (will be 3 and almost 2 at their first visit this June!) and the reservationist said they go on the honor system at Disney.

Thank you all. That makes me feel much better. We will not worry about it and just plan to have a great vacation.

My oldest DD has always been bigger for her age and thought to be older. She took her first trip to WDW about 3 weeks prior to her 3rd birthday. She looked more like a 5 yr old though and we were questioned about her age while entering Epcot one day. I simply said that she was 2 still and walked through. We did bring copies of her birth certificate though for just in case because she did look so much older. She still does at 13 now as she is now taller than me.
