Ticket question

Not sure where to ask this but we are going in April. The last time we went we bought park hoppers and used them once. I am not sure how much we would use them on this trip. My question is can I buy a base ticket and add the park hopper to it later in the week when we switch over to BWI or do I have to purchase a park hopper up front. I would love the option to have the base ticket and upgrade later if we need to... Suggestions??


ETA: Does this work when purchasing tickets from Undercover Tourist or would I have to buy them directly from Disney?

You can absolutely do that. The hopper option is the same price no matter how many dYs is left on the ticket, though.

Our first few trips, we used the hopper a lot. The last trip, we bought them and didn't use it once, so it was about $200 wasted. This trip, we are going with base tickets, knowing we can add it if we want to hop.

No it does not save any money to add hopper option later. It is the same price for 2-10 day ticket. It is less to add hopper to a 1 day ticket but not any less to add hopper to one day of a multi-day ticket.
