We are going to Disney end of Jan/early Feb for a short visit. We want to save some money and wondering if we can get just a one day park hopper ticket. We want to "park hop" the first day by going half day to Animal Kingdom first half and Hollywood Studios second half because they have extend hours both parks on the same day (early for AK and late for HS). But then the plan is Magic Kingdom the next day and Epcot the following. We wouldn't need park hopper those days. Can we do that?

It will actually cost you about $1 less to just buy a three day park hopper than it would to separate the tickets into a one day PH and two day base ticket.

One-day adult park hopper = $120 (before tax)

Two-day adult base = $168

Total of above = $288

Three-day park hopper = $287.

Now, if you were doing only two park days, then it would save money top purchase separate tickets.
