I already bought our tickets from undercover tourists, is there any way that I can book through Disney, stay on their resorts, and then not use their tickets. Can I sell them for what I spent?

I'm just trying to figure out how to re-do our trip and make it even better.

I think...I am not sure how accurate this is but I don't think you can sell Disney tickets anymore. Either that or you can't transfer tickets that you've already used that have day's left. Wasn't much help but I tried lol.

1- stay on their resorts, and

1- Yes.
2- Yes.
3- Yes. New tickets may be gifted or sold. It is not legal to sell partially used tickets, however.

But, the problem is, the person to whom you were trying to sell, would have no way to know if the tickets were valid.
It would be easier for you to just buy ONE-DAY tickets for your WDW "package" and then just KEEP the "package" tickets for use (and/or upgrade) on a future trip.

Just to be sure...are you required to buy a package because you want the dining plan? You CAN book room-only and are not required to get tickets.

But I'm trying to price with the dining plan??? I would love to add the dining plan. Is there somewhere that shows the prices of adding the dining plan so I can see if we would actually be saving money?

AllEars has a page on the Dining Plan. It may help.

The standard Dining Plan is $39.99 per adult per night, and $10.99 per child per night, and does not include gratuities at table service locations. That includes one Table Service, one Quick Service, and one snack per day.

There is a Quick Service Dining Plan for $29.99/$8.99, which is two QS and two snacks, and a refillable resort mug.

There is also a more expensive Deluxe plan.

Now I am really confused.

I talked to AAA and said that I already had my tickets. She said all I do is buy a one day base ticket and then upgrade to the dining plan for the others. These are 6 day base tickets?

Wouldn't it be easier to just sell these for the face value and then start from scratch?

To get the dining plan you need to have a package with tickets bought through Disney. You would need to buy at least a one day base ticket for everyone.

The dining plan would be for all nights of your vacation. Everyone in the room needs to have the same tickets and dining plan.

>>> ... sell these at face value ...

Not easy. No one in his right mind would buy tickets from a private party without some guarantee that the tickets are good. There is one very easy way to give the buyer the guarantee, don't expect payment until after the buyer gets back with a happy trip report.

It is not urgent to dispose of the tickets you already have prior to starting from scratch and booking the package of your choice.

The dining plan for adults is now $41.99 I beleive. I can't remember what the kids prices are. And during peak times it is 47.99( I think? or 46.99)

OP, got to the Disney site and price your vacation. Add the dining plan, change the tickets to 1 day, no hopper and no waterpark and you will see what it cost exactly for your dates. (AAA will offer a small discount off that price usually)

Either AAA used the wrong words or you are as confused as you think you are.:rotfl:

There's no such thing as adding the Dining Plan to tickets or upgrading tickets to include the Dining Plan. The Disney Dining Plan has nothing to do with theme park tickets.

Please follow the logic below:
* You need to book the Disney Dining Plan as part of a package
* Disney defines a package as a bundled purchase of room + tickets
* When you buy a package, the "size" of the theme park ticket is up to you
* Whether or not you include the DDP in your package has NOTHING to do with the "size" of the tickeyts you are buying as part of the package

Yes, you hurt yourself financially by buying your tickets and then later deciding you want to have the DDP.

Yes, to book the DDP you'll need to book a package that includes, at minimum, a 1-day base ticket. That will be over $80 with tax ... you'll have to do the math to determine if the DDP will save you MORE than about $80 per person, to make it worthwhile.

Alternate solution:
Are you reasonably sure you'll visit Disney World again within a few years or so. If you're SURE, then put your tickets in a drawer and save them for that future trip (UNUSED TICKETS NEVER EXPIRE), and then buy the complete ticket you'll need for this current trip as part of your current package.

It could be that I was looking at an old sheet...Disney does not like to tell you exactly how much it costs :)

It looks like the costs did go up at the beginning of the year...for DVC, we get the exact prices, and the standard plan is 41.99/11.99, and there are no provisions about peak time. Quick Service is $31.99/9.99, and deluxe is $71.99/20.99.

Reviewing the bidding.
Your choice:

1. Book the package with dining as you wish, leave your Undercover Tourist tickets at home, and use the tickets(1) that came with your package.

2. Book the package with dining as you wish, put the tickets(2) that came with your package in the room safe, and use your Undercover Tourist tickets.

3. (frankly I would choose this unless there was something special in the package such as free dining or some free nights with dining or a gift card) Book room only, buy meals a la carte, and use the Undercover Tourist tickets.

Note 1. If you ordered only one day, you can add more days as needed after you entered a park.

Note 2. For most packages you only need to order one day tickets. For best results you should have the concierge or a supervisor separate the admission ticketing off of your room keys onto separate cards.

Wouldn't it be easier to just sell these for the face value and then start from scratch?

Actually the easier thing would have been to just have bought the tickets as part of a package through Disney!

But our trip that we were taking in a few weeks we were staying off resort. But I checked with undercover tourists and it looks like I can get a whole refund.
