Ticket Question

Hello. We have the Free Dining Package for Sept/Oct and have ordered MYW tickets with Park Hopper option. I know that on the package we all must have the same tickets . . . so I couldn't have park hopper and dh not have it, etc.

Question: When we get to WDW, can part of our group upgrade to add the water parks and more option? For example, if DH and I want to add that so we can go to PI, do we also have to upgrade the children's tickets too?

I am pretty sure that you can "upgrade" each ticket with whatever features you want. I hope that it all works for you!

Thanks so much for the replies. I wonder why they let you upgrade individual tickets on sight, but not in advance. Weird, but good for us!

My DD15 and her friend also 15 might decide they want to try the water parks. So it will be nice to know that I can just wait and see how it works out, without having to buy the add on now and hope we use it!

Also, I was reading that thread recently on the Adventurer's Club at Pleasure Island and was thinking DH and I would really enjoy that . . .

If they didn't let you do that, you can also buy individual tickets for the waterparks, Disney Quest, and Pleasure Island I believe.

Tickets associated with packages used to be quite restrictive pre-2005. All in the party had to have the same ticket for the entire length of the stay (UPH) and you could not make any changes (like upgrading to AP) to any of those tickets.

Since MYW came in in 2005, the only restriction on package tickets is that everyone on the package must all be the same until check-in. Once at WDW, the tickets can be upgraded or have options added on a per ticket basis. If you have 4 people, you can end up with four different ticket lengths and/or options.

You will have no problem making the changes you desire when you get to WDW.
