Help, I know this has probably been asked before but I have a question. One of our cheerleading teams is going to World's in April and one of the mom's was asking if I knew if they could use some remaining days they had on previous park hopper tickets. I told her that I thought that they could but I would ask you guys and make sure I'm right. They are planning to stay a few extra days and are hoping they can use the days they had left over on passes from before Disney made all the ticket changes.

You can use old tickets for the parks that the ticket was valid for. Some of the real old tickets were only valid at MK and Epcot or MK, Studios and Epcot.

Does that make sense? Its late here and I am tired.

Yeah that makes sense. Thanks I'll let her know that they're still good tickets. She said they were actually park hopper so that should apply to any of the parks.

There is no parks restriction anymore on any old tickets that allowed for park hopping. They are accepted for entrance to all four theme parks. Tickets purchased prior to 1996 need to be exchanged at no charge for current magnetic strip tickets at any Guest Relations. Tickets purchased after 1996 can be used as is.

Depending on how long they are staying it may be better to buy all new tickets to cover the entire vacation. For example using a day off of an old ticket together with a new five day ticket saves only two dollars compared with saving the old ticket and buying a new six day ticket. Meanwhile if the old ticket was saved for a two or three day vacation, it delivers more than sixty dollars of value per day used as-is.

Another good strategy is to buy a non-expiring pass with more days than you need, at least two leftover from a 7 day pass or at least three leftover from a 10 day pass, where the remains of one or two passes will completely cover some future vacation.
