ticket question please help ??

Ok well I had received a gift card for Christmas as a bonus from my employer for $100 and I had saved a few dollars and bought a 6 day PHP pass in January that way I did not have to worry about tickets...lol now im worrying...


I want to upgrade the unused Pass to an Annual Pass not the Premium Annual Pass just the regular one. I read on a different post that you can only upgrade after 7 days. Is my pass active from when I bought it at the Disney Store or is it active from when i use it at the parks???


I have never even taken it out of the bag since i bought it much less slide it through the ticket counter.

So my main two questions is:

1. Is my pass just purchased and not activated or is it activated?
2. Can I upgrade it to an Annual pass by just paying the difference?

Please help ease my worry and fears that I messed up and now stuck!

Hi Amy,I hope I can give you some answers.

First of all, your pass is "active" in the sense that the CM at the Disney Store activated it for use. Since PHPs never expire, you have no need to worry about the clock ticking away on it. In this case, "activated" only means that you paid for it.

Secondly, since you have never used the pass and you purchased it at the Disney Store (and not from a ticket broker), you will get the full amount that you paid for it applied towards you upgrade purchase.

There are other scenarios which are more complicated (partially used passes, passes with both days and pluses left, passes purchased from sources other than Disney). I'm not even going to try to get into them because that's not what you asked about and they are very confusing.
