Ok, so here is the situation: I HAD 6 people in my travelling party for August. 60 day mark is coming up, so we bought our tickets through a 3rd party a couple of weeks ago, so that we would be ready to book FP+

Now, one of the members of the group changed their mind, and isn't going. I had them reassign the ticket (which I paid for) back to me. I know I can't get a refund, that is fine. I am relatively certain we will visit again in 2018. I have no problem holding the ticket until then to use it. That should be well within the 18 month ticket expiration window.

What I am concerned about is that I will have 2 10 day base tickets attached to my name at the same time. Will Disney use all of the entitlements on the first ticket, without touching the 2nd when I visit for 10 days this August, or do I need to do something to ensure that 2nd ticket remains unused?

Make a new person, call him Tomh the 2nd. Put the ticket in his name. Problem solved.

Yeah, I was kind of thinking that. It'd stink on ice if they used 5 days from each ticket on me lol.

yeah -- you just create a 2nd dummy profile in your DME and assign the ticket to that person. Just don't make any FP+ selections for the dummy.

You can talk to guest services and have them "prioritize" your tickets. But the phantom person in MDE holding your ticket is probably safer and puts you in control.

Yes, if there are multiple new tickets in a guest's MDE profile.

But, having the "priority" set is a good solution for controlling tickets that are already active,
since activated tickets cannot be transferred between guest profiles in MDE.

I always double check priority, never thought of setting up a dummy. I need to look at the priority because my son has a ticket with 3 non expired days left on it, out of 10. Can't transfer that one. I only use a day off it here and there, I want it to be lowest priority.

I wish we could check and set priority ourselves on MDE.

Thanks for all the answers. I do have phantoms from the old FP+ shenanigan days, so it would be easy enough to park the extra ticket on one of them until this trip is over.
