Then why did you post this making people like me  cause I don't know what it is!

Of course it is true! I know a way to go to Disney for 2 weeks and stay at the Poly, Castle View room for free. Oh but I can't tell anyone how to do it. lol

Not sure what the point of this question is? You have a code and don't want to share it?

I wanted to hear other peoples experiences using these tickets.
I dont want to get myself in trouble here on the DIS by saying something that is banned.
But if you internet search "disney specially priced theme park tickets" you will probably find what your looking for.
They arent always good for every date though.

Wow, kenny i find your tone particularly rude.
I wanted to know about others experiences using it.
I'm not selling anything or taunting anyone.I dont want to violate DIS rules or the confidence of my friend.

Honestly, I don't understand what you're saying. You can buy park tickets at a $100 discount if you're a spectator for "certain events"? Or you can get tickets to these "certain events" for $100 less than they actually cost?

I think your question might be too vague to get a valid response...

I'm sorry im not being deliberatly vauge.
Im trying to protect a friend who tipped me off.

yes.

I am sorry, I dont have the answer to your question because I really don't know what you are asking.

Anyway, for future reference. If you dont want people to ask you about something [especially what you are referring to] it may be best not to bring it up. We are not being rude we are simply just intrested.

It makes much more sense now. I found a site that kind of explains what you're talking about if you mean convention tickets.

I think what is meant is you can buy discounted tickets if you are going as part of things like Pop Warner week. Now of course, you would need to go during that week and probably need to use a travel agent that is booking it (when my nephew almost made the pop warner super bowl we were told we had to book through the team travel agency and couldn't book on our own).

Also, 100 bucks really depends on the days you are getting and the hopper options, etc. So this post really tells us nothing new. It is public information. Maybe you are trying to say we can lie and get cheaper park passes by telling them we are there for a Wide World of Sports event??? :confused3

Ya know i see why folks are upset, i probaly should have kept my mouth shut.

Mods, please remove this thread

Yes, if indeed you are involed in the event, either a participant or spectator. Most of them are for the groups involved - the cheerleaders and jumpropers come to mind - as wells as the parents and friends accompanying them.

Many of the discounted tickets have restrictions on use - ie only during the event week and maybe a few days following. It seems to depend on the event and what prices are negotiated or how many participants are expected.

Personally I have used the tickets and they are legit ....if youare attending an event. Honestly I wouldn't recommend tyring to purchase and use the tickets if your not part of an event.

We have friends who's kids visited WDW as part of a dance event (maybe a competition?). I don't know what they paid for their package nor what park tickets came with it, but part of the package included meal certificates good at many CS restaurants and resort food courts. The certificates expire at the end of the year and include an entree & side (or a combo), drink, and dessert.

I have friends who have gone as part of a convention and gotten great deals on park passes. Not sure if that's what you meant though.
As long as you are a participant/spectator and are eligable, I don't see what the issue would be.

If you are lucky (????) enough to have a child that participates in a sport/activity that ends with a "National" in Disney, you can usually purchase park hoppers at a reduced price through the event organizers, or through a link to Disney set up by the event organizers.

The last time we did this (for the Disney Soccer Showcase in January of this year), I noticed one other perk: the tickets did not require "finger" scanning, so you go through the turnstiles without having to do that squeeze thing that my daughter consistently gets rejected on!!! They do, however, have a limited "window" for use. Our event ran from Dec. 27-Jan.2, and the tickets had to be used by January 9 (not sure when the window started). When I purchased the tickets on line, I had to list my child's team name.

I am not sure what the discount was, but it was pretty good (more than you would get from AAA or the like). However, the money we saved was soon spent on other things Disney!!!
