Ticket Question - "Free" ticket and adding Express Pass

Hello,

We earn points through our bank and see that they have several Universal Orlando options for a "free" (i.e. "you spent $10,000 this year, now here's a free 2-day Universal ticket") ticket. If we went through our bank and got our Universal tickets through their points program, would we be able to add the Express Pass or Express Plus or whatever it's called? Or do you need to BUY the ticket to add that on? We definitely don't care to stay onsite at Universal, but I'd like some sort of little perk.

Anyone with knowledge would be very helpful. I guess I could call, but I'm on the boards anyway ....

I don't know if it can be added on to your ticket, but let me caution you there is no need to do so in advance. If you buy Express before you get there, you are locked into it because it is nonrefundable and specific to the date you choose. I recommend just waiting until you get there to gauge the crowds for yourself so you can make an informed decision as to whether the cost of Express will save you enough time in line. You can buy it at multiple places within the park once there.

Express pass is a seperate purchase and not an add on to your ticket. You can purhcase it regardless of the type of ticket you have. I would agree with Mesaboy about waiting to see if you need it or not.
