I know you all will know the answer, but I cannot figure this out. I will be at Beach Club three nights and Animal Kingdom Lodge for seven days, from March 17-27. I have a non-expiring park hopper with six days left on it. I was planning to purchase, through DVC, a four day/four park pass and supplement with 2 or 3 days from the non-expiring park hopper. NOW the question: how will my magicband know which pass I want to use each day? Say, one day I want to use the DVC pass and spend the whole day at AK. The next day, I want to use the non-expiring to visit the MK in the morning and Epcot at night. This seems complicated and easy to goof up to me. I know the bands are magic, but how smart are they?

Just to complicate the situation further, I already linked the non-expiring pass to my reservation on My Disney Experience. Who among you is willing to take on this challenge? Thanks for all your expertise!

You will have to visit Guest Relations outside the gate of a theme park, at TTC or at DTD to switch the priority of your tickets. Since you are going back and forth between the two tickets, you'll need to visit Guest Relations each time you switch over.

You are going to have to login everyday and change the priority of the tickets, so the one you want is on top. I think you can only do this on a computer though and not the app. I can't verify that though, so the app may allow it too. Or stop by customer service every day to have them switch it.

It would be easier to just enter a park using your DVC pass instead of your MagicBand on the days you aren't park hopping. You can use your MB at the FP tapstiles because the FP tapstile only links to your FP data.

If you use the DVC pass at the park entrance, you won't need to go to Guest Services everyday.
