I have looked at the Disney website and other websites suggested by others on this board and I have a couple of questions:

1: What is the best discount you have seen on any of these sites (I have almost six months before we go and I wondered if I should start buying some now or wait for a special)?

2: What is the sales tax rate on Disney tickets (since the other sites include taxes in their price and Disney does not)?

3: When do rate increases for tickets happen?

TIA

1. They change, with no advance notice. (Typical discount is 4% to 8%... not a lot.)

2. The Sales tax in Orange County, FL (WDW) is 6.5%

3. See answer number one.

There won't be "specials," so to say more than a couple dollars maybe.

Undercovertourist is about the cheapest you'll see, probably will be the cheapest. However, it's not a huge amount more, if you want to wait for WDW depending how many are in your party. Obviously, if you have a lot of people, you'll save more, since you save x amount on each ticket.

The last price increase was August 2006.

In general, I think it's better to keep your money until closer to the trip unless it's not a problem to spend it now and you're certain you're going.

One note about tickets through an outside agency like Undercover. If you purchase them and are staying at a Disney Resort, you cannot have them added to your room key. It's just a small matter, but one that changed our minds. The saving of a couple of bucks wasn't worth losing the convenience of having everything on one card. Just an FYI.

Thats some good info. Thanks pat fan. I was considering ordering from undercovertourist, but now I'm not sure on how to do the room key. Will you have to carry 2 cards (your tickets and room key)?

Sure you can. Just bring your paper tickets and your current room key to the concierge desk, and they can combine them.

My mom did this last trip and it worked perfectly.
