I'm going to post this once just because it's been a long weekend and I'm fairly annoyed with it. I have followed airplane ticket prices for over a year now. I would check them weekly and now that my vacation is booked I check them every day (a lil obsessed, maybe) waiting for good ticket prices. Now I know the hype is that the prices are up and all. But if I were booking my tickets for, let's say, in two weeks I can book them for $143 before taxes. For the time of my trip they are $185 which after taxes puts them at $226. I wish my trip would get closes in hopes that ticket prices would go down! And I wish Southwest would bring up the rest of their Sept prices, because they ALWAYS have the cheapest tickets (and nonstop flights).

Ahhhh.. I feel better. ;)

I feel your pain! As soon as we know we want to go on a trip, I start looking at flights. I'll book them when they are at the lowest and have good times. It's hard to know what to do when they are high....wait and hope they go down rather than up! I gobbled up some for our family trip 6 months out and have never seen them lower and the flights actually changed in our favor....we are leaving and arriving earlier! Just depends on what time of year you go and how busy that leg is.

Good luck getting a good deal!
