Ticket Prices Going Up on Sunday!

I'm really starting to wonder how much Disney can increase prices before it starts hurting their bottom line. We only go every several years anyway but this has to start really adding up for folks who go every year or several times a year.

any reasoning on why the kids AP is now priced the same as the adult? Besides to make more $$$

I don't understand what you wrote. It is not too late to buy tickets at the pre-increase prices!

Can you explain better what you mean? I'd be happy to try and help if you are confused, as would others here, I'm sure.

Did I not read it correctly?
??

The bottom of the (ticket page) says that IF I make a purchase of tickets at any time after 2pm on Friday, the transaction goes thru on the following BUSINESS day...then says that would be MONDAY (barring a holiday) , ..which is after the Increase price??
Can I still get the lower price now, Saturday??

Thanks in advance.............MUCH appreciated for your help!! :flower3:

I was really excited that I had already purchased our tickets last week before the price increase until I realized that it actually cost me more to do so. We would have "saved" money if we would have waited for the new prices. Oh well... at least we have tickets in hand and are ready to go!! Who would have thought we could have saved money. lol

I hate to say it, but with over an 11% increase in the price of the Florida Resident Seasonal Pass, I believe my family will be taking a break from having a pass for a few years. Disney was already starting to lose a little of the magic for the kids, with going so frequently, so maybe it's time to get annual passes for Universal or Legoland instead.

I wondered if it was a trial to see how many people would pay the same price for adults/kids.

I am not Mary but thought I would throw in my 2 cents.

Undercover Tourist is selling you tickets at the price listed on their website. You will only pay the price listed on their website. The info on the bottom of the page has more to do with ticket pick up in Orlando and it doesn't have anything to do with prices.

I just ordered 2 tickets this morning from them and was only charged the amount that is listed in their website.

Once tickets prices increase (tomorrow) Undercover Tourist will update the prices on their website and then you would pay that price. Sometimes that takes a few days.

If you order now you will get the discounted price, as long as that is what is listed on the Undercover Tourist website.

You can buy tickets at the Disney store right??? I need 3 day passes, and we were heading out tonight. might just have to stop by and pick some up. I have about $300 worth of Disney gift cards I need to use to pay for them too, and I know I can't use that many giftcards online or I would buy them there.

Question for someone knowledgeable:

I need to purchase an 8 day park hopper with WPFM add on for July. I see that the base prices are going up on Sunday ($292.88 to $317.37 on UT), but the combined add on (PH+WPFM) price is going down (from $110 to $79).

Am I correct in assuming I'd get the largest savings by purchasing the 8 day base ticket now and then adding the PH and WPFM once we arrive at WDW?

Math-wise it makes sense to me, I just didn't know if there was some minor detail I was missing...

You have to buy the 2-day tickets to get the free dining. There is no way around that. You do not get to deduct the price of 2-day tickets from your package price just because you have an AP or AP voucher.

What you can do, is buy your AP voucher now, activate it when you get to Disney, and put the 2-day ticket away for another visit.

I believe that the requirement for free dining is that you have to buy A MINIMUM of 2 day tickets, but you can buy more days and even the AP with your reservation.

So, if you know that you're going to want an AP whether you get free dining or not, then I would suggest changing your reservation now before the price increase so that your package has the AP as your ticket choice. Then when/if the free dining comes in you've already got more than the 2 day requirement and at the "old" price. If free dining doesn't happen you'll still get your AP at the "old" price.

I love how they announce the ticket increase two days before...

We had to buy our APs tonight so we didn't have to pay the extra $100 total for both of us.

But that's what happens when they add new things I guess.

Actually I think we're lucky that Disney let's us know about the price increase ahead of time.....I can't think of very many other places that will give you a heads up that they're going to increase their prices!

?? about the chart I am seeing. The way it is broken up, if I were to buy a 10day park hopper w/ WPFM non-expiry, am I adding 318 (base) +57 (PH) +79 (WPFM)+275 (non-expire) to get my total price?

That would be awesome if I could do that now. I thought I had to be there to upgrade to AP but if I could do that now I would be :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:!! I'll have to call and check.

I never even noticed that language. They don't normally work weekends, but believe me, they are in the office frantically processing orders this weekend! You can still order today at the old prices. I am 100% positive of that!

Unfortunately an Annual Pass is NOT an option for inclusion with a package. You can only add Magic Your Way tickets. On arrival you can take whatever ticket you add to the package and UPGRADE it to an Annual Pass. You will be credited for what you paid for the MYW ticket, but you'll be buying the AP at the current price.

No, the price for Park Hopper AND Water Park Fun & More (combo) is $79. You don't need to add that $57 you have in there.

Don't forget to add 6.5% tax.

Yep, you're correct. Just be sure to use the base ticket once before doing the upgrade, so that the price of the ticket is "bridged" to the current gate price.

Thanks for the clarification. That was confusing me greatly :)

DH and I were hoping to get annual passes this year but we are not arriving at DW until August 16th. Does anyone know if I can purchase the tickets now at the lower rate and still be able to pick them up in August?

TIA

yes, pick them up at at guest services at any park or DTD.

Annual pass vouchers - how long do you have to redeem them? I read up to one year and I read no limit. I am considering buying 2 for my kids, who are turning 8 this month. I guess as long as they are still 9 or under at the time we convert them at Disney Parks, it should be no problem.

Does anyone know if you purchase the Annual Pass voucher and decide not to use them are they refundable and of so how long??

For a long time I had thought AP vouchers were only good for one year. It was my understanding that they could be redeemed after that time, but you'd have to pay the difference between what you paid and the current price at time of redemption.

However, I was recently informed that there doesn't seem to be any expiration at all. I was told (by someone who has done this repeatedly) that you can redeem even 3-year-old AP vouchers without paying any upcharge.

As with anything at Disney, this could change at any time.

They are NOT refundable.
