I just read that the ticket prices are on the way up. For full details and prices visit: http://wdwig.com/hnews.htm

This totally is messing with my head. I leave in 14 days. I don't know what to do. I need a 5 day hopper pass. I can buy it there or maybe buy it online for cheaper or run up to TDS tomorrow morning to buy it for more than I can buy it through Disney online, but I worry about the shipping time/options. ARGH!

I don't arrive in WDW till the 17th. We planned on upgrading our 4 day hopper +'s to AP's with the DC. This really screws me up! Boy am I bummed!!!

The solution is to buy your tickets NOW before 9/8/02!!

Call WDW to Cro and purchase your tickets!!

Ps. Never wait, there are web deals all the time!!

Oh Say did you see this??
The 4 and 5 Day Disney Club Park Hopper Passes are discontinued as of September 8th at WDW at as of September 10 at Disney Store.

I see that the prices are going up Sept 8th and that the Disney Club Park Hoppers will no longer be available, however, they also say 4 and 5 day hoppers will be available at the store for advance purchase, is this right?? I was looking for a 4 day hopper which after the 8th will be $192 at the store.....now, if I buy it in a tax free New Hampshire Disney store it would be $192.
I was going to order thru Florida Orlando Tickets or Ticketmania but this appears to be a better deal!

Tink, I didn't see any mention of them doing away with the 4 & 5 day hoppers, where'd you find it? I did calculate that it will now cost a family of 2 adults 2 children, 78.00 more for Annual 4 park passes... They're really becoming cost prohibitive... Not that I'm a Florida Resident, but I didn't see the Florida Seasonal Pass mentioned anywhere, I wonder if they did away with it?

Not to burst your bubble even more BUT have you double checked to make sure you still don't have to pay FLA's entertainment tax on the tix... I live in Delaware where we don't pay sales tax on anything but when I inquired at my DS (thinking I'd save some $) they informed me that there prices included FL tax:(

What I don't understand is the 5 day hopper. It states in one place they are $259 and in another $229 ($217 prepurchase price). So which is right?

It does state there will be no more Disney Club discounted hoppers as well.

$259 is the hopper plus....

You must pay the FLA tax on Hoppers no matter WHERE you buy them.

...do you have to pay that state's sale tax plus the Fla. tax? In my state that would add up to: $192 +5%+6%!!? Anyone know?

No paduncan, you only pay the FLA tax. Everyone pays exactly the same amount of taxes no matter where they buy their passes.

Hope that this helps...

:)

thanks BethR. After doing the calculations, I think it is still cheaper for me to order thru FloridaOrlandoTickets. For 4-day hoppers, they charge $195 each +$7 total shipping, which will equal $397. If I buy through local DS, $192 + 11.52tx (Fla. 6%), for total of $413 for 2 tickets. I expect similar savings for kids tickets, plus the $7 shipping from FOT should cover all 4 tickets. I'm not going to delay ordering, though, if I was FOT, I'd have to think about raising prices as well..

So after 9-10 no more hoppers?? Is that right? What will they sell just one day tickets?

No, no ceecee! There will be hoppers. Just no Disney Club discounts on them unless you order them in advance from Disney.
If you have not clicked on the link to Deb Wills's site in the original post, I would recommend that everyone do so. It includes very detailed information about the price changes.
I think that ticket brokers like Ticketmania and FOT will be very happy about these changes. They have always had tickets available at almost the same price at the Disney Club discount. I suspect that it will remain the same way with them...

Thanks for clarifing that Beth.. I was getting worried, so we will still get DC discounts as long as we pre-order? Maybe that's not so bad, I was beginning to wonder if I should even bother renewing it.

Actually ceecee, there is NO reason to purchase the Disney Club to get discounts on tickets if I am understanding this correctly.
As I understand it (and following threads on the Theme Park Board), ANYONE gets the discount by puchasing their Hoppers in advance. You will not need to be a Disney Club member. So Disney Club discounts will primarily be for resorts and purchases at TDS and DD and savings at National Car Rental.
Makes me wonder if WE will buy the DC before the next time that we go...

That seals the deal for me. The last reason I had for keeping the card is the discount on passes. I have a discount on the TDS through my DVC membership and I have an AMEX card for DTD shopping. With no other pass discounts, I will not renew my membership.

Oh well, another good discount program down the drain

I read on the other site posted earlier that we would still be able to get the DC discount on top of the pre-order price.
